The Pixel 10 Pro has a 6.3-inch OLED screen, Google's Tensor G5 chip, 16 GB of memory and three rear cameras: a 50 MP main, a 48 MP ultrawide and a 48 MP 5x telephoto. It charges wirelessly through Pixelsnap, Google's Qi2 magnetic system, at up to 15W, and Google lists seven years of OS and security updates.

The Pro XL adds a 6.8-inch screen, a bigger battery and faster wired and wireless charging, but no extra camera. Both share the same chip and cameras, so if you mainly want the telephoto in a phone that fits a pocket, this is the one.

Worth knowing This is the 128 GB model, the smallest storage Google offers on the 10 Pro, and it can't be expanded later. The charger is sold separately.

Set 42209 builds Volvo's L120 electric wheel loader. It steers by bending in the middle like the real machine, a knob raises, lowers and tilts the shovel, and the engine cover opens to show three spinning gears. There is a pretend charging socket for the electric theme.

It suits a child moving up from LEGO City to Technic, or an adult who likes construction machines but doesn't want a multi-day build. Anyone after motors and remote control should look at Technic's powered sets.

Worth knowing It has no motor. Everything is moved by hand or by the knob.

  3. 3 Tools & DIY

    Klein Tools GFCI Outlet Tester

A plug-in outlet tester that shows common wiring faults and trips GFCI outlets, for homeowners and new DIYers.

Plug the Klein RT210 into a standard three-prong outlet and its lights, read against a chart on the body, show open ground, reversed polarity, open hot, open neutral or hot and ground swapped. It can also trip a GFCI outlet to confirm the outlet's protection works. It is small enough for a drawer or a tool bag.

It suits anyone buying an older house, checking a newly wired outlet or narrowing down why a socket is dead. Electricians who also work on AFCI breakers would want Klein's RT310, which tests those as well.

Worth knowing It checks only the faults on its chart and can't judge ground quality or spot several faults at once. Treat it as a first check, not a full inspection.

  4. 4 Tools & DIY

DEWALT 20V Dewalt Pipe Prep, Tool Only (DCE710B)

A cordless DeWalt tool that deburrs the inside and outside of cut pipe, for plumbers and electricians on the 20V MAX system.

The DCE710B cleans both edges of a cut pipe at once, from 3/8 to 2 inches nominal. DeWalt lists copper, PVC, CPVC, EMT, rigid conduit, black iron and stainless steel. It has a paddle trigger with variable speed, rust-resistant blades that come out for replacement, and finger guards on both sides.

It makes sense for someone cutting a lot of pipe or conduit in a working day, where a hand reamer gets slow. For the odd repair at home, a hand deburring tool does the same job.

Worth knowing Tool only. The 20V MAX battery and charger are sold separately, so it suits people who already own DeWalt batteries.

The set has six 10.25-inch dinner plates, six 6.75-inch appetizer plates and six 18-ounce cereal bowls, all in Corelle's Winter Frost White. They are made of Vitrelle, a three-layer glass that is thin and light, and Corelle says it resists chips and cracks. The pieces are dishwasher, microwave and preheated-oven safe, and they stack in about half the space of ceramic dishes. It is made in Corning, New York.

It suits small kitchens and anyone who finds stoneware heavy. People who want a weighty plate on the table may find it too light.

Worth knowing No mugs or soup bowls. The bowls are cereal-sized, so a household that eats a lot of soup or pasta will want Corelle's separate soup or pasta bowls.

  6. 6 Sports & Outdoors

2L Platypus Platy Ultralight Collapsible Water Bottle

A 2-liter Platypus water bottle that folds flat when empty, for hikers and campers counting weight and pack space.

The Platy 2.0L is a soft bottle of nylon and polyethylene film with a screw cap. Platypus lists it at 1.3 ounces empty and 13.8 by 7.5 inches, and it rolls or folds small once drained. It takes any threaded Platypus cap or drink tube and works with GravityWorks and other filters, so it can serve as a dirty-water bag. It is BPA-free and made in the USA.

It suits backpackers who want extra water capacity that weighs almost nothing when they don't need it. For daily use on a desk or in a car, a rigid bottle is easier to fill and clean.

Worth knowing Being soft, it won't stand up on its own when partly full and needs a hand or a pocket to hold it upright while you pour in water.
