One of our picks for Tuesday, October 13, 2026. We haven't tested it. How we pick
Set 42209 builds a Volvo L120 Electric wheel loader about 13.5 inches long and 5.5 inches high. A knob on top raises, lowers and tilts the shovel, and the engine cover opens to show three spinning gears. It also comes with a small charging station that raises and lowers, a nod to the real machine being battery powered.
LEGO rates it for ages 9 and up. It suits a child who has finished smaller Technic sets and wants more gears and linkages, or an adult who likes construction equipment on a shelf. Younger builders will likely need help with a build this size.
Worth knowing There is no motor or remote control in the box: each function is worked by hand, and the charging is pretend play.
