The AP-1512HH filters in four stages: a washable pre-filter, a deodorization filter, a HEPA filter and what Coway calls a bipolar device. Coway sizes it for a room of about 361 sq ft at almost five air changes an hour. Auto mode sets the fan from a dust sensor, and Eco mode switches the fan off after the air has stayed clean for 30 minutes and back on when the sensor picks something up. It runs from 24 to 53 dB and has a 1, 4 or 8 hour timer.

It suits someone who wants one purifier for a bedroom or a home office and not much to fiddle with. For an open-plan floor, Coway's larger Airmega models move more air.

Worth knowing Filters are an ongoing cost: Coway says to change the deodorization filter about every 6 months and the HEPA filter about once a year.

The Baseus Blade is a 20,000mAh battery shaped like a slim tablet rather than a brick: 6.37 by 5.27 inches and 0.7 inches thick, about 18 oz. It has two USB-C and two USB-A ports, and a USB-C port gives up to 100W, enough for most USB-C laptops, a Steam Deck or a phone. Recharged at 65W over USB-C, Baseus puts a full refill at about an hour and a half, and a small display shows its status.

It suits someone who works from cafes, trains or planes and wants one battery for laptop and phone. If you only charge a phone, a smaller 10,000mAh pack is lighter in a pocket. Baseus also sells a squarer Blade HD that is a little smaller and lighter.

Worth knowing The 100W figure is for one device on one USB-C port; with two USB-C devices each gets about 30W. Baseus says it does not charge the Surface Go. Needs the code on the deal page.

This is Lifetime's 55-quart High Performance Cooler: a polyethylene body with an insulated lid, a gasket, two rubber latches and a stainless steel hinge rod. Lifetime says it holds about 60 cans with ice and keeps ice for up to 7 days. It is certified by the IGBC to hold out against a bear for up to an hour when it is padlocked. There is a drain spout that takes a garden hose, a bottle opener and rope handles.

It suits car campers and anyone who needs a lockable food store at camp. For a day at the beach it is more cooler than you need; Lifetime's 28-quart version is easier to carry.

Worth knowing The bear certification only counts with a padlock, which you supply. Lifetime also sells a wheeled 55-quart version; this listing comes in several colors, so check which one is in your cart.

Set 75416 builds Chopper (C1-10P) at a little over 8.5 inches tall. A lever on his back moves his head, the arms and legs pose, and a tool folds out of his chest. The arms and center wheel come off, so he can be shown as if they were folded away inside his body. It stands on a display base with an information plaque and comes with a minifigure-size Chopper droid figure. The LEGO Builder app has a Build Together mode that splits the build between people.

It suits a Star Wars fan who likes a build that ends up on a shelf. LEGO makes other buildable droids in this line, such as K-2SO, if Chopper is not the one they would want.

Worth knowing It is a display model with a few moving parts, not a toy that rolls or makes sounds.

Logitech Ergo M575S Wireless Trackball Mouse (Various)

Logitech's thumb-operated wireless trackball with quieter clicks, for long desk days and small desks.

The Ergo M575S is a trackball you move with your thumb: the mouse itself stays put, so your arm does not move to move the cursor and it works on any surface, including a cramped desk or a lap. It is the M575 with quieter clicks. It connects through a USB receiver or Bluetooth and runs on one AA battery, which Logitech puts at up to 18 months on the receiver or 20 months on Bluetooth. Buttons can be set up in Logitech's Options+ software.

It suits someone with wrist or forearm strain from a regular mouse, or a desk with no room to move one.

Worth knowing Right-handed only; Logitech makes no left-handed version. A thumb trackball takes a few days to get used to.
