Igloo's Marine Ultra 54 is a mid-size hard cooler with THERMECOOL foam in the body and lid, UV inhibitors in the white shell, stainless steel screws and hinge, a hybrid latch and a fish ruler molded into the lid. It has four drain-through cup holders on top, swing-up handles and a recessed drain plug. Igloo rates it at 76 cans and gives the outside as about 25 by 15 by 16 inches.
It suits a boat, a beach day or a tailgate. For several days off-grid, a roto-molded cooler holds ice longer, but is far heavier.
Worth knowing The listing says 85 cans; Igloo's own page says 76. At about 10.6 lb empty and 25 inches long, it is a two-hand carry once loaded.
