The Dash Cam Mini 3 is Garmin's ultra-compact dash cam. It records 1080p video across a 140-degree view, has a built-in polarizer to cut windshield glare, and saves a clip by itself when it senses an incident, keeping the 15 seconds before and the 15 after. The back has two buttons, one to save a clip and one to switch audio recording. Setup and watching footage happen in the Garmin Drive phone app, and it takes voice commands ("OK, Garmin").
It has no power button: it starts and stops with the car's power. It suits people who want to fit it once and forget it. If you would rather not use a phone app to see your footage, this is not the one.
Worth knowing It records to a memory card, so check the listing for whether one is included. Live view and cloud storage of clips need Garmin's paid Vault subscription.
