Tetra 29 Gallon Complete Tropical Fish Tank Kit | Aquarium Kit Includes LED Light, 29 Gallon Glass Tank With Hinged Hood, Filter, Filter Cartridge, Heater

Why we picked it

One of our picks for Friday, October 30, 2026. We haven't tested it. How we pick

Everything to get water running comes in one box: a 30 by 12 by 18 inch glass tank, a low hinged hood with white LEDs, a Tetra Whisper PF 30 power filter with a Large Bio-Bag cartridge, a 200-watt heater, a thermometer, a fish net and small samples of AquaSafe conditioner and TetraMin food.

A 29-gallon tank is a sensible first size: more water is more forgiving of mistakes than a small desktop tank, and it fits a mixed group of small tropical fish. It suits a family or beginner ready for a weekly routine of water changes. If you only have a shelf or desk, the 20-gallon version of the same kit is shorter and lighter.

Worth knowing No stand. Filled, this tank holds about 240 pounds of water, so it needs furniture rated for it. You also need gravel, decor and time for the filter to settle before adding fish, and Bio-Bag cartridges are replaced over time.
